Our Story So Far

In 1996 Impact Senior Pastoral Leader Bruce Downes and a team of others were moved to address the issue of the thousands of people who were once involved in Church but who have ceased attending. We discovered the reasons for this phenomenon are varied and in every case unique. As a result of our questioning and research we saw a great need for Church to be experienced in modern and contemporary ways and for this experience of Church to impact the everyday life of people.

In 1998, Impact (then known as Foundations) held its first public service and we have spent the following years endeavouring to create a Church Community that presents the life changing message of the Gospel in ways that are accessible and effective in this modern world.Family with three kids

Impact has met in several different locations over the years. In 2002 we established the Impact Centre in Osborne Park, Perth Western Australia where we currently hold two of our Sunday Services as well as many programmes and events that occur throughout the week. In 2005, with the blessing of the Catholic Archbishop of Perth Barry Hickey, we established a Catholic Mass to compliment the Catholic and Christian services already offered at Impact. This allowed us to fulfil our unique vision to provide a Church home for all people regardless of their spiritual background.

Impact has become a Church family where people can grow from infants in faith to mature Christians, living lives of wholeness, freedom and love of the Church. The members and attenders of Impact are at various stages of their understanding and experience of God and the Church. We journey with people and respect the path every individual must take to a real, practical faith and a life of involvement and sense of home in the Church.
