It consists of people who feel individually called by God to live their Catholic life together as a Catholic Community.  Impact Catholic Ministry seeks to proclaim the message of Christ in such a manner that it would lead people to discover and or deepen their commitment to God, who is Father, Son and Spirit.

What is a participant’s commitment to the Catholic Church?

For Catholics, individual commitment to God goes hand in hand with a commitment to the Catholic Church.  We recognise and accept however, that people are at various levels of commitment to the Catholic Church.

Under whose authority does Impact operate?

Impact Catholic Ministry is a ministry within the Catholic Church and operates with the permission of the presiding Roman Catholic Bishop of each Diocese.

Impact Catholic Ministry realises that life is complicated and that people are also on a journey.  It accepts that some people view Impact Catholic Ministry as their “church” as it is the only place where they attend.

The word “church” here is not used in the same sense that Catholics would use the word but rather refers to the gathered Christian believers.  For Catholics, Impact is always, as has already been stated, their Christian community within the Catholic church.

From Impact's earliest days, Impact has always maintained that all committed Catholics of Impact are expected to live their lives in accordance with the doctrine, teachings and practices of the Catholic Church.

Impact is multi-generational.  Ages span from new born babies to people in their 80s.  There is a place for everyone at Impact - those who are young and those who are young at heart.
